I just spent a couple of days at Sekolah Cikal leading an Assessment Workshop on MYP. Sekolah Cikal is a smallish sized international school that is growing into their Middle Years Programme, currently they have Year 6 and Year 7 as their 1st and 2nd year of the programme. I was pleased to be able to work with the staff of this school whom welcomed me readily into their school and whom appear to be working very hard on the MYP ‘stuff’ of their school.
Certainly their administration show great support towards the IB MYP in setting aside two full days to train their staff, and also their staff showed that they really are ‘life long learners’ by all participating with enthusiasm and subject knowledge in all activities of the workshop. (including plenty of standardization (aka internal moderation) and cross marking)
