Picture record of our Combined IB Schools’ MYP Personal Project Exhibition 2013

4 hours, 45 Excellent Personal Projects, 5 schools and 250+ visitors!

Saturday 1st of June Global Jaya hosted the First ever annual Combined Indonesian IB Schools’ Personal Project Exhibition in the theatre foyer. We had students from BINUS, SPH- Lippo Village, SPH-Sentul, Mentari Intentional School join us. Each school was invited to send their ten best personal project students. The variety of topics was quite diverse; from producing a “Phantom of the Opera” production at school, raising awareness of the plight of Street kids with a mini-concert to publishing an illustrated children’s book of stories. The overriding lesson that I obtained from the students’ work was just how talented, thoughtful and organized our students can be, when we remove the limits on their creativity.

A number of Year 9 students attended to gain some ideas for their own Personal Projects for next year (a requirement for all Year 10 students to achieve their GJIS MYP Certificate and the end of Year 10). Hopefully by seeing work from a number of different IB schools in Jakarta they will be even more inspired to do well.
